I started composing in 2023, when I composed Harmonys Journey. You can read more about this special project on the Conducting page. In a year's time, I laid a foundation as a composer and wrote a 4-part symphony for strings. I learned a huge amount from this. I challenged myself by using different atmospheres, tempi, dynamics and instrument range and tried to make the four movements contrast as much as possible. Of course, I did a lot of research for this, from notation software to composition techniques, instrumentation and score study. I tried to expand this foundation further after this project. That's why I immediately started writing for wind instruments, such as in Le Farfalle dell'Anno. In 2025, I published Ondeggiando l'amore on Valentine's Day, for my girlfriend. This work is a bit more dramatic and complicated. The piece represents the continuous movement of waves, reflected in the strings and the free time signature.
I like to write orchestral pieces in a kind of mix between romantic and cinematic music. In the meantime, I'm working on my next symphony called The Journey Continues, for full symphony orchestra. In addition, I have also gained some experience in cinematic music.
Since 2025 I have been studying Classical Composition with Wilbert Bulskink at the ArtEZ Conservatory in Zwolle. Here I am gaining a lot of experience and continue to develop myself as a composer.
Below is a collection of all mt published works in chronological order with score and some details. You can also find me on Spotify.

This is my most recently released composition and I feel it reflects my style more. It is more complex, dramatic and makes bigger contrasts. I took a lot of time writing this, and am happy with the result.
The piece uses primarily strings, with the harp and horn as solo. The beginning is a really long build-up towards a climax where the horn enters for the first time.
It's my most expressive piece and I really want to write more of this. The piece represents the continuous movement of waves.
Ondeggiando l’amore is Italian for "Rippeling love".

I wrote this short serenade for my girlfriend to celebrate a year long relationship! It is written for orchestra and harp. I've been writing a lot lately, this is just one of the concepts that I have completely worked out. But there are a few more planned. Of course, just like in the previous piece, I gave the harp a big role in this piece.
What I liked about this piece is that I can let the wind instruments play an increasingly bigger role. I am learning more and more how to write for them: for example the opening with the horns and the clarinet and also the bassoon later. I tried to create an atmosphere in this piece that felt both suitable as a romantic piece and as a celebration.
Le Farfalle dell'Anno is Italian for "The butterflies of the year".

This serenade is written for strings, harp and piccolo. Lately I have been experimenting a lot with using and discovering new instruments, in order to gain more experience and further expand my knowledge. I am happy with this piece, especially with the atmosphere I was able to achieve with it. It was difficult to write a lighter and more intimate piece because I noticed that I was quickly moving in the heavy and dramatic direction. But through good instrumentation I eventually ended up getting the atmosphere I wanted to achieve.
I tried to create a lot of contrast between the orchestra and the solo. The big and the small. And I tried utilising a lot of repetitions with variety, to keep it interesting. These are a few techniques that I have been working on for the first time and try to pay attention to.
Il Pinguino Innamorato is Italian for "The Penguin in Love".

As told above, I wrote and performed this 4-part symphony for strings in 2024. I wrote this in the last year of the Waldorf School in Zutphen, for my profile paper. I had never written anything before and I've learned incredibly much. I have;
learnt to write and work out music for an orchestra with live musicians
done extensive research about a symphony and what it entails
learnt to conduct and lead the orchestra in rehearsals
organised the performance (hall, cameras, audience, flyers, etc.)
The first symphony I ever wrote, at age 17. I challenged myself with different atmospheres, tempos, dynamics and range of instruments, and I tried to contrast the 4 parts as much as possible. I have done all of this in about a year and I am very proud of the final result. And I knew that this was only the beginning of my journey.
